Hoist Installations, Headframes and Ventilation Fans

Access to an underground mine is either by shaft, decline, or drift. To access the underground working via shaft or some declines, a hoist and headframe system has to be installed.

We have installed these systems from large multi-rope hoist and headframes designed to handle loads to 30 tons or more.

Each underground mine has to be ventilated to provide fresh air to the underground workers and remove any noxious fumes and gases out to the surface. We have installed fans on the surface, and some underground, to provide this type of ventilation.

These fans can be powered by motors up to several thousand horse power and provide air flow in excess of 1,000,000 cubic feet per minute.
